Although
the Wheel turns and the days are getting longer, it still feels
much like a chilly Spring here on the Redwood Coast of Northern
California. Usually it is much warmer by now, but it seems that
"La Niña" has other ideas! Not that I am complaining,
mind you, as I do enjoy the cooler weather rather than the heat...it's
just that it is a bit more challenging to write the Summer issue
of an ezine when it doesn't feel like Summer... ;)
That
being said, this issue is dedicated to the Summer holidays, and
is blessed to include some very evocative and inspiring poetry and
essays from some of our OMS/RDG members, for which i am deeply grateful.
Your contributions are what make this ezine unique and filled with
Awen!
This
issue also includes a tribute to a special Bard who passed into
the Otherworld this January - I am a dedicated fan of his work,
and have used certain of his poems in my Reiki healing work. He
will be greatly missed - yet there is some comfort in the envisioning
of his freedom from the limitations of the physical plane world,
and his continued journey on his particular path...
The
Order continues to grow and evolve - and we've even had the pleasure
of seeing a past Waterkin return to the fold. Sometimes people are
with us for a while on their journey, and then they decide to see
what else is out there and they leave - only to return when they
realize that they relate more to our way of Druidry than the alternatives.
This is not a judgement or comparison to other paths - it just comes
down to the seeker finding as much common ground, and as many like-minded
companions, as possible...
I
am definitely observing a slow, but steady, return to community
- a shift back from "me" to "we", and it is
very inspiring! May it continue to be so...

Gaia,
